Research : Our know-how

Everyone has priorities.
Ours : to innovate, to improve every day your economic and zootechnical performance.

With powerful R&D, Neovia makes an unequalled strategic choice

Independent,
Reactive.

With powerful R&D facilities (5 centers all over the world and 100 international researchers), Neovia makes an unequalled strategic choice. This means we can innovate, independently and rapidly. Simply because your needs cannot wait.
Neovia has developed in-vivo models in challenging situations

Visionary,
Know-how.

For years, Neovia has capitalized on intensive R&D about additives. Neovia was engaged in the development of natural alternatives to chemical growth promoters or anticoccidioses  long before anyone else.

With this wide experience, Neovia has quickly developed in-vivo models in challenging situations : an in vivo screening anti-mycotoxins model, an enteropathy model on rabbits, coccidiosis challenges, etc. These make it possible to test the reliability of each of our solutions in conditions close to those encountered in the field.
: In-vitro trials in laboratories, screening molecules in-vivo and digestibility workshops in our own experimental farms, etc.

Investment,
Performance.

In-vitro trials in laboratories, screening molecules in-vivo and digestibility workshops in our own experimental farms in France, Brazil, Mexico, India or in Vietnam : Neovia has chosen exceptional R&D equipment to offer adapted additives to your market needs.

And to guarantee the reliability of all our solutions, Neovia has many partnerships with independent research centres (INRA, CIRAD, UNAM, KATSESTART etc.) and universities.

Recognised officially, our research department also has the ISO 9001 version 2000 standard.
R&D

NEOVIA researchers explain…

…What is a « Mycotoxins model » ?
The Mycotoxins model aims at assessing the efficiency of products against mycotoxin intoxication. In order to finely study toxins effects, with doses closed to those encountered in fields, very sensitive animals are used : ducklings aged from 1 to 28 days. Physiological and zootechnical parameters of ducklings exposed to mycotoxins, receiving different kinds of additives, are compared to ducklings non-exposed to mycotoxins and to ducklings exposed to mycotoxins without any treatment. The measurement of specific physiological parameters allows intoxication detection earlier than the measurement of zootechnical parameters. Thus a reliable response is obtained with a shorter trial.

… What is a “Coccidiosis model”
Coccidiosis is a parasitic disease which causes intestinal damage and impairs performance. It also favours the anarchic development of pathogenic bacteria, such as Clostridium perfringens.
The goal of this model is to assess the products’ capacity for controlling both coccidiosis and the associated pathogenic flora development.
The protocol consists of the experimental reproduction of clinical coccidiosis with Clotridium development on animals (chickens, turkeys). Then performance, lesion scores and pathogenic flora development are compared between inoculated animals receiving screened products, and animals receiving usual chemical anticoccidiostats
