Red mite (Dermanyssus gallinae) could infest 70% of layers farms worldwide. This nocturnal blood sucking ectoparasite decreases egg production and increases downgraded eggs rate,
thus reducing the annual profitability of egg producers.
Its control becomes more and more difficult, due to an increasing resistance to pesticides, and more severe animal welfare regulations.
External solutions based on the application of pesticides in the houses, even if efficient, are time consuming, require special equipment and their efficiency is worker-dependent. Thus in-feed additives are definitively more convenient solutions to control red mites.
Paralice is a patented non medicated specific mix based on aromatic extracts with a repulsive action. Paralice keeps mites away, prevents blood sucking and thus starving them and breaking their reproductive cycle. Paralice is used directly in the feed during the production period. Mode of use ?
- Paralice is a free flowing powder that can be added directly to the animal feed. It guarantees homogeneous distribution and efficiency.
- In case of high infestation, we recommend to associate the use of Paralice SD in feed with a spray of KO-Lice in the houses.KO-Lice can also be used during production period.
